.........Journals!
Yes, i have a thing about journals and notebooks. Recently i have bought loads and there are still loads i want. The pictures just shows a selection, i have more haha. My favourite shop of the moment has to be Paperchase. So come on, what are you addicted too?

It's been a nice, quiet weekend here. Yesterday we headed off on the train to Nottingham and had a mooch around the shops and had some lunch. I had a muffin from Starbucks, my current favourite, but how come one is never enough? I could quite happily have gone back for another! Today has just been a house day with me tidying up only to turn around and it be a top again. I guess having a 4 yr old means having an untidy home!
So Friday i went to the Doctors again. You may have read before that i have been hoarse and coughing alot for almost 2 months and it's a bit depressing after a while. They think it's related to my reflux but I'm not sure. After 2 wks of upped medication it's no better but all the doctor said(a different one i hasten to add) was that 2 wks is not long enough to see if they will work. So i have to go back in another 2 wks. I still sound like i should be working on an 0898 number and am having bouts of coughing. Hey ho!
The weather has been terrible here in the North. Snow, wind, rain! We sleep in the loft and it's felt like i've been sleeping in a tree house some nights! Woke up to snow Saturday morning but it didn't last too long. I'm hoping the weather ids fine for Wednesday as i'm off to London overnight to see Wicked. I am soooooo excited. It's had rave reviews and i just love going to London!
Scrapbooking wise i am working on a couple of layouts. I need to get my 'C' page for my A-Z journal. I've taken some pictures but need to do more and then make a start. I don't have a huge amount on, other than being away Wednesday night, so hopefully i'll have plenty of time to get it done.
Anyway, hope you're all having a fab weekend. xxxxxxx

Migraines :(

Yes migraines. I hate them. I don't get bad ones very often but yesterday laid me up big style.
I woke up with a 'thick head' and hoped some caffeine would sort it out. I had no Imigran(the tablets i usually take at the onset) so was hoping that i could get to the chemist earlyish, get some, and stop it in it's tracks. Not to be. I ended up taking two during the course of the morning but it made no difference and after dropping Corey at nursery at lunchtime i ended up going to bed :( Dave went out and got me more early evening and thankfully it worked and by about 10pm it had gone. Didn't sleep to well and have a bit of a cotton wool head today but otherwise feel great! Don't want another one of those in a hurry!
Have had a nice weekend. Saturday i went to the crop and managed to almost finish 2 layouts other than the journalling. One of them was made with a sketch i did for the IACW blog :) The other one was for the A-Z Journal that i'm also doing for the IACW blog. so it was a very productive day! Also had great fun chatting and gossiping with friends!

Sunday was just a PJ day as Dave went canoeing so didn't get up to much and yesterday, well it was a bit of a blur with being in bed all day.
Today has been pretty relaxing too. Spent the day at home with Corey, watching TV, browsing the web, playing and cleaning. This afternoon we've all been to the dentist. I have been worried cause one of Coreys front teeth is grey even though we brush them regularly. The dentist said it isn't bad but it looks like it's had some trauma. Considering he falls over every mins then it could well be that. He said it should be fine and hopefully won't cause any problems. Mine were also fine, in fact he said they were very good, Dave however has to go back for a filling.
Tonight Dave is out at the football so i may scrap, either that or have a bath and chill out watching Harry Potter!

Picture Post

Well theres not a huge amount to say today other than i feel ill yet again. Am getting really fed up now and have made an appointment for the doctors on Tuesday to try and get things sorted. This is been going on for almost 2 months now and i feel really drained :( All cyber hugs welcomed!
So i thought i'd post some pictures :)

Been baking today and here's Corey licking the bowl(naughty Mummy!)

The finished Cakes!

Organised

Yep, that seems to be me these days. I'm loving my 5am starts and seem to be able to keep pretty much on top of everything having this routine. I have no ironing to do, the house is clean and tidy, all laundry done, meals planned and shopped for(other than my chicken but that's another story!) Last night i even got round to tidying my craft room and sorting my papers out! Haven't done that in a while! Also started a layout for my A-Z journal that i'm going to do about Corey. If you want more info then hop on over the It's a Creative world to find out more.

So nothing much to report.
Tuesday we went swimming and Corey loved it again and didn't want to leave. Tuesday night my footy team(Sheffield Wednesday) unfortunately went out of the FA cup to derby, boo hiss! Spent a good hour on the AMLT website too seen as they have a sale on and spent a small fortune!
Yesterday i spent the morning with a friend and went for coffee and breakfast which is always a delight. Today we aren't going anywhere although we should have been going to Junglemania but we aren't going now. So it will be a take it easy day, maybe some reading(i'm reading a very good book called The Memory Keepers Daughter), some scrapbooking and playing with Corey. I also need to list some stuff on Ebay as it's half price listing day.
I've recently got new beads for my pink/aqua troll/dolly/buddy bead bracelet and i must take a photograph later as it's the lushest thing you've ever seen!

Pretty quiet

That's what this weekend has been. In fact i haven't even been out of the house. We were going to go out and do something on Saturday but i had a migraine so H went canoeing both days and had a whale of a time. He's really up to speed with his training for his 300+ mile charity event now.
And that literally is it! Apart from watching a bit of telly and some cyber surfing i have done bugger all!
This week is going to be fairly busy. Shopping, swimming, speech therapy appointments and a Bliss support group meeting mean that i have lots to keep me occupied. I have parcels to pack for Ebay this morning which i absolutely loathe doing!
Will leave you with a picture of the Coreymeister from yesterday.
Hope you all have a good week!

Ailments

For the last 6 wks i seem to have been ill and its really getting me down.

I seem to have cold after cold, with coughs and sore throats but there may be light at the end of the tunnel. I suffer from Reflux (or GERD as its medically called), have had it for well over 10yrs and take meds every day for it. It seems that i might not be taking enough and all this coughing and hoarseness could well be a symptom of it. I have to increase my medication for 2 wks to see if it improves. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!
So yesterday we didn't have any bumps thankfully. I had the morning to myself after dropping Corey at nursery. I was going to keep him at home after everything that had happened cause he said he wanted to stay at home and was a bit teary but Dave said he thought he would be better off going and so he went. Tears were shed though and lots of them but apparently after 5 mins he was fine. So i tidied, and browsed the www and scrapped again :)

I also got my camera out and took a few snaps of the boy. As you can see he enjoys messing with my computer. he mainly likes the car adverts on YouTube haha!
Today i am suffering with a bad headache and shouldn't really be on here so toodle pip for now!

So yesterday i took the lil' guy swimming.

We actually could have swam there it was so wet and by the time we got there we were cold and wet. Corey had said to me on the bus there that he just wanted to watch and i had reassured him that he didn't have to do anything, if he just wanted to watch then that was fine. We needed to take things very slowly. So we got changed and into the pool area. It's a nice swimming baths with a walk in pool for the kids and also a small separate one with a small slide in the centre.
initially he just wandered about and put his hands in. Then we sat on the side of the separate pool and dangled our feet in. then he went a bit further, then a bit more, and by the time we went home he was laid on his tummy in the pool, up to his head, pretending to swim. he had a really fun time and would have happily stayed there all morning. It was so refreshing to see him enjoying himself in the water! So we will be going at least once a week from now on and hopefully his confidence will grow every week. he also got a car out of it as i took him to the toy shop afterwards and treated him to a racing car for being such a good boy!
Yes, more bumps! He obviously decided that sporting a blue and red nose wasn't enough. Now Corey does have trouble with coordination and suffers from valgus feet(flat). he has low tone muscle for which we see a Physio for. In everyday life this means he is a bit clumsy and things usually happen all at once, hence another accident yesterday. From what we can gather it looks like he tried to take his PJ bottoms off whilst coming down the stairs, resulting in what he says 'rolling down the stairs!' I heard an initial thud, then a pause which seemed to last minutes, and then a crash and a scream. Corey was in a heap at the bottom of the stairs with a nice bruise on his forehead, scratches to his sides and a nice friction burn on his bum. His PJs were on the next to last step so i'm assuming he came down them all.
So now he looks like he's done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson!
This child will be the death of me!!
